WFS presents Cannes and Sundance award winner

KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo-area debut of "Me and You and Everyone We Know," Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

"Me and You and Everyone We Know" is the work of writer/director/star Miranda July. The film was a multiple award-winner at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize for Originality of Vision at the Sundance Film Festival. Showtimes are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24, and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25. Admission is $5 and $3 for students.

In "Me and You and Everyone We Know," July plays Christine, a performance artist, who meets and falls for Richard, a recently-divorced shoe salesman and father of two. As Christine and Richard struggle to connect, his sons find themselves ready to learn about sexuality, starting with Internet chatrooms.
