State of University address is Tuesday

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University President Judith I. Bailey will present her annual State of the University address at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.
This will be Bailey's third such address since becoming president of WMU in 2003. She is expected to assess the University's progress toward its goals and lay out specific initiatives and areas of focus for the coming years.
The event is open to the public. A reception in the Dalton Center lobby follows the speech, and the 2005 School of Art Faculty Show will be open in the Multimedia Room.
Those who are not able to attend will have another opportunity to listen to the address beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, when the University's public radio station, WMUK 102.1 FM, broadcasts the speech in its entirety.
