The first-of-its-kind conference, dubbed Glory Days: A Bruce Springsteen Symposium, brought together educators, journalists, historians and musicologists to focus on Bruce Springsteen and his influence on American culture. Feffer, an assistant professor of English who teaches playwriting at WMU, writes frequently on the connections and tensions between theatre and rock, pop and hip-hop. He made a presentation titled "There's an Opera Out on the Turnpike: Staging Authenticity in the Rock/Theatre of Bruce Springsteen," as part of a panel on the impact Springsteen has on his audience.
