UNICEF will benefit from bowling fund-raiser

Oct. 27, 2006

KALAMAZOO--UNICEF will be the beneficiary of a Western Michigan University student-organized fund-raiser at Holiday Lanes bowling alley, 2747 South 11th Street, Kalamazoo, from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. The event is open to the public and costs $8 per person.

The $8 fee, one-half of which goes to UNICEF, covers the cost of shoe rental and unlimited bowling during the four-hour event. A variety of contests are planned, including prizes for the best Halloween costumes at the bowling fund-raiser.

Sponsoring the event is UNCF at WMU, a registered student organization supporting the United Nations Children's Fund. For more information, contact Ellen Mytty, president of UNCF at WMU, at rso_uncf@wmich.edu or visit the Web at www.rso.wmich.edu/unicef.
