Haunted Hall serves up spooky fun

Oct. 19, 2007

KALAMAZOO--Whether you're howling at the Haunted Hall or kicking back in the Kids Corner, Western Michigan University's annual weekend of Halloween fun has something for every age.

The Haunted Hall will be staged from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, and from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27, in Fox-Eldridge Hall in the Goldsworth Valley residence hall complex. The Kids Corner will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is geared toward children ages 12 and under and will feature games, prizes, story reading and free candy.

The events are sponsored by the WMU Residence Halls and Residence Halls Association. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, regardless of whether the children are braving the Haunted Hall or enjoying the Kids Corner.

Cost of admission is $5 or three canned goods. Monetary proceeds will benefit Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Greater Kalamazoo. The donated canned goods will go to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.

Eldridge-Fox Hall is located at the northernmost end of the main campus in Kalamazoo. Roadways leading to the hall are accessible from both Howard Street and West Michigan Avenue. For driving directions, visit the Web at www.pp.wmich.edu/buildings/071.html.
