WFS presents area debut of "Margot at the Wedding"

Feb. 11, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo-area debut of "Margot at the Wedding," starring Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jack Black, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 15-17, in Western Michigan University's Little Theatre.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and $3 for students.

The newest film from director Noah Baumbach, "Margot at the Wedding" examines the relationship between two sisters, Margot (Nicole Kidman) and Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh). When Pauline first learns that her sister will be in Long Island for her wedding to Malcolm (Jack Black), she's thrilled. But, it doesn't take her long to realize that Margot is the same bitter, razor-tongued bully she remembers from her childhood. As the wedding approaches, one complication tumbles into the next as Margo's presence threatens the sisters' relationship and Pauline's marriage.

The 2007 film is shown in English and has a run time of 92 minutes. It is rated R for sexual content and offensive language.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
