Italian musician's first U.S. recital is at WMU

KALAMAZOO--Massimo La Rosa, principal trombonist of the Cleveland Orchestra, makes his U.S. solo debut at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University.
La Rosa's program includes works by Hindemith, Sulek, Pryor and Bozza. General admission seating is $10 and $5 for students. Tickets are available at the door.
A native of Italy, La Rosa moved to the United States to join the Cleveland Orchestra last year. Before relocating to States, La Rosa was a member of the orchestra at La Fenice ("the Phoenix") Theatre in Venice, Italy. La Rosa has performed throughout the world, making appearances in China, Japan, Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy and France.
