New design selected for Ring Road signs

May 12, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Results are in from a survey of the campus community at Western Michigan University to select a design for new signs along the campus Ring Road.

The winning design features an arrow forming a circle and the initials WMU. Everyone who participated in the survey, conducted in April, was entered in a random drawing for a $50 gift card at the WMU Bookstore. Christopher Voss, associate director in University Recreation Programs and Facilities, won the gift-card drawing.

New Ring Road signs will be installed by the end of August. The Ring Road is a collection of perimeter roads on West Campus, including Western Avenue, Knollwood Avenue, Rankin Avenue, Goldsworth Drive, Gilkison Avenue, North Dormitory Road and a one-block section of West Michigan Avenue.
