First Ferrell-McKay film debuts at Little Theatre

Sept. 18, 2008

KALAMAZOO--The Western Film Society presents the area premiere of "The Foot Fist Way," the first project from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 26-28, in Western Michigan University's Little Theatre.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and $3 for students.

"The Foot Fist Way" is a full-contact comedy featuring one of the year's least likely heroes--small-town Tae Kwon Do instructor Fred Simmons (Danny McBride). The film became a sensation at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, when audiences fell in love with the seriously self-deluded character who talks a big game, but falls to pieces when his wife betrays him.

The 2006 film is shown in English and has a run time of 85 minutes. It is rated R for sexual content and offensive language.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
