Award-winning tap master at Miller

KALAMAZOO--Tony Award-winner Savion Glover and his group, Bare Soundz, will bring innovative tap dance to Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7.

Glover is celebrating his 27th year in show business as a dancer, choreographer, actor, director and producer. He choreographed the Academy Award-winning Warner Brothers release, "Happy Feet." Other Broadway and film credits include "The Tap Dance Kid," "Black & Blue," "Jelly's Last Jam," "Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk" and Spike Lee's "Bamboozled." Glover dances on concert stages around the world and performed as the opening act for the popular "Dancing with the Stars" series in 2007.

Savion Glover's Bare Soundz at Miller Auditorium is part of the Lake Michigan Mailers Spotlight Series and is sponsored by Coca-Cola and Zhang Financial. Tickets are on sale now and range from $25 to $45.
