Nov. 4, 2008
KALAMAZOO--Legally Desi will bring the tastes, sounds and culture of India to Western Michigan University Friday, Nov. 7.
The annual celebration begins at 7 p.m. in the Bernhard Center's East Ballroom. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. WMU students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with valid Bronco Cards.
Legally Desi brings students from different parts of India together to showcase their talents, and allows members of the community to explore the diversity of Indian culture. This year's show features Indian dance performances, fashion shows, music and food, with a special appearance by the Danish-Indian fusion band, Bombay Rockers. The group went five times platinum with its debut album, "Introducing."
