Management prof recognized by McDonald's

KALAMAZOO--McDonald's Corp. recently honored a Western Michigan University business professor for his consulting work.
Dr. Daniel Farrell, professor of management, was awarded the Press On Award by the fast-food giant in recognition of his consulting work for the company. The award was presented at McDonald's Supplier Summit Conference Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Lombard, Ill.
Farrell has served as a consultant to McDonald's, providing objective analysis and assessment of managerial programs for the food service company. The naming of the Press On Award comes from McDonald's entrepreneur Ray Kroc and one of his famous expressions, which affirms that persistence and dedication are important attributes in the long-term success of any business.
