WMU monitoring swine flu outbreak
April 25, 2009
KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University officials are closely watching swine flu developments in Mexico and the United States and monitoring reports from both the Centers for Disease Control and the Michigan Department of Community Health.
To date, no travel advisory has been issued or extraordinary precautions recommended.
Dr. Lisa Marshall, medical director at WMU's Sindecuse Health Center, urges members of the University community to stay informed about the outbreaks, symptoms and basic daily precautions everyone should take to avoid any strain of flu.
Sindecuse Web pages will be continuously updated to reflect the most recent information about the swine flu outbreak.
