Enjoy 'A Christmas Carol' this holiday seasonNov. 25, 2009 KALAMAZOO--Charles Dickens' holiday classic "A Christmas Carol" will be staged by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan Saturday, Dec. 5, at Western Michigan University. The performance begins at 8 p.m. in Miller Auditorium
Attending a performance of "A Christmas Carol" is a family tradition all across the country. For nearly three decades, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan has toured this adaptation of the holiday classic, delighting audiences nationwide. The Caravan's production of "A Christmas Carol" is a unique retelling of the familiar tale. Traditional Christmas carols were carefully chosen to create a specific dramatic effect. Although the carols themselves are traditional, the scoring is contemporary and exceptionally beautiful. The ornamental set, which recreates 1880s London, gives the entire production the effect of being a Christmas card come to life.
