LBGT student services slates informational fair

KALAMAZOO--An Activism and Volunteer Fair will take place at Western Michigan University Friday, Feb. 19, in Room 105 of the Bernhard Center.

Sponsored by the Office of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender Student Services, the free informational fair will start at 1 p.m. with an hour-long program that will be repeated at 3 p.m.

During the event, attendees will hear from representatives of on- and off-campus LBGT-related organizations about opportunities for getting involved in volunteer activities.

The first hour will feature short presentations about each organization and the opportunities they can provide. Afterward, attendees will have a chance to chat with representatives from those organizations and sign up to learn more about the groups that interest them.

  • WMU's LBGT student services office
  • OUTspoken, a registered student group at the University
  • Kalamazoo Gay Lesbian Resource Center
  • Community AIDS Resource & Education Services
