Students, employees get early shot at 'Wicked' ticketsSept. 2, 2010 KALAMAZOO--Tickets to "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" musical, "Wicked," at Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium go on sale to the general public Sept. 25. Several groups with direct connections to WMU will have an opportunity to buy tickets in advance of the public offering beginning Thursday, Sept. 9, including: WMU students, employees and retirees; WMU Alumni Association members; and Business Technology Research Park partners. WMU employee and student discounts will apply while supplies last. Employees may purchase up to eight tickets using their discount, and students may purchase one ticket per valid WMU ID. Tickets must be purchased in person at Miller Auditorium or via phone at (269) 387-2300 to receive employee and student discounts. Thursday, Sept. 9, the first day for the WMU ticket sales, Miller Auditorium's Ticket Office will have special hours, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with phone sales beginning at 10 a.m. "Wicked" makes its West Michigan debut at Miller Auditorium for 16 performances Dec. 1-12. With the unprecedented demand for tickets, it is likely the Kalamazoo engagement will sell out quickly.
