Theatre students stage 'My One and Only'

KALAMAZOO--Romance and charm abound in the Western Michigan University Theatre's production of "My One and Only," running Nov. 11-21 in Shaw Theatre at the Gilmore Theatre Complex.
New York City guest director Ken Leigh Rogers, from the show's original Broadway cast, brings this glamorous and quirky romance to tap-dancing life through the beloved music of George and Ira Gershwin. With airplane pilots, swimming dames, and top hats and tails, this musical has something for everyone.
Cast and creative team
Original cast member Ken Leigh Rogers directs the all-student cast, which includes: Madeline Acquaviva, Julia Baird, Zach Bezdziecki, Keith Brown, Jody Burns, Danielle Campbell, Matthew Dailey, Andrew Danowski, Adelina Feldman-Schultz, Nick Graffagna, Blair Grotbeck, Ethan Hedeen, Alicia Humphrey, Megan Jacobson, Taylor Keenan, Meredith Keller, Chas Lowry, Brian Martin, Zachary McConnell, Katie McGrath, Philip McLellan, Julia Mitchell, Shari Montville, Peter Pappas, Tia Pinson, Charles Curtis Sanders, Joey Simon, Colton Stevens, Amanda Treppa, Sarah Waalkes, Max Wardlaw and Molly Weidig.
The creative team includes WMU students Leandra Watson, costume designer; Kaitlin Anderson, lighting designer; Caitlin Eby, sound designer; Blake Hoffman, scenic designer; and Alan Knight, stage manager.
Reserved seating for "My One and Only" at Shaw Theatre is $20, $15 for senior citizens and WMU employees, and $5 for students.
