Family show 'Madagascar Live' visits Miller

Photo of DreamWorks' Madagascar Live production.KALAMAZOO--DreamWorks Theatricals' first-ever live family touring show, "Madagascar Live," will visit Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium for three shows Tuesday and Wednesday March 8-9.

Shows begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday and 4 and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

"Madagascar Live" is expected to visit more than 70 cities across the United States beginning in January. The new stage show aimed at family audiences stars popular characters from the beloved "Madagascar" film series, including Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo, and members of the madcap Madagascar crew, King Julien and the crafty Penguins.

Widely successful with audiences of all ages, the 90-minute stage show will transport the audience from the Central Park Zoo to the wild rain forests of Madagascar. "Madagascar Live" takes the audience on an action-packed adventure with imaginative set, costume and puppet design, all brought to life with singing and dancing to such hit songs as "Move it, Move."

"Madagascar Live" is brought to Miller Auditorium by DreamWorks Theatricals and Broadway Across America. Tickets go on sale Dec. 3 and range from $15 to $35, with limited Gold Circle seating for $85.
