WMU seeking First-Year Seminar facilitators
March 2, 2011
KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University is accepting applications for paid First-Year Seminar facilitators to teach FYE 2100 this fall. The deadline for faculty members, including instructors, to apply is Friday, March 18.
The seminar helps new students make a seamless transition to WMU. Up to 70 seminar sections of the course will be offered. Most sections will be limited to 20 students to allow for the formation of a natural support group.
Students who take the seminar participate in extracurricular activities and programs that reinforce learning and develop strong and meaningful relationships with their faculty facilitators, seminar student leaders and peers.
