Recreation center closes for annual maintenance

KALAMAZOO--The Student Recreation Center at Western Michigan University will close at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, for its annual maintenance, cleaning and student training to prepare for fall semester.

The center will reopen Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 4, from noon to 4 p.m. It will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of U.S. Labor Day, and will begin regular fall semester hours Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6 a.m.

During the two-week closure, the University Recreation office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays for equipment checkout and to accept faculty and staff fall memberships renewals.
