Email Message Store Reorganization May Cause Slow Response Time

System administrators are reorganizing the storage on the ECS message store to increase capacity and help eliminate some IO issues. Users may notice some sluggishness while their partition is being reorganized. (Users are spread across 10 email partitions.) It is expected that this process will take most of the week.


Dialup service disconnect problem

Dialup connections are having problems staying connected. Dialup may have problems with incoming telephone service. HDD 6/26/06 Update - TDS has found a problem with the incoming phone lines, and will attempt to fix the problem during a downtime scheduled at 5am on 6/27. SVD 6/26/06


Imap server is running slowly

Mail clients connecting to imap.wmich.edu have been having difficulties establishing the connection. Reports of the issue began around 7:00 a.m. today. Administrators have been notified and are working on the problem. --CLM


Network Outage for Friedmann, Dunbar, Sprau, Gilmore Theatre Complex and Miller Auditorium Announced

Occupants of Friedmann, Dunbar, Sprau, Gilmore Theatre Complex and Miller Auditorium will be affected by a network outage (hardware upgrade) from 6-8:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 25. WMUK's signal will also be interrupted during this time. Other systems and/or services affected for those buildings are: network connectivity; access to the Internet, e-mail and file services, and VOIP phones. There will be multiple interruptions of service during this time period. Some services may appear to come back online temporarily, however users are encouraged to refrain from any network activity during this time period as lost work or files could result. If you experience issues after the upgrade is complete, please contact the OIT Help Desk at (269) 387-HELP (4357). If you call while the Help Desk is closed, please leave a message and OIT staff will attempt to resolve the issue. All calls not related to the outage will be processed within the normal Help Desk routine


Subnet Full at Grand Rapids Regional Center

A problem was reported this morning in regards to the subnet at the Grand Rapids regional center being full. The problem was fixed at around 9am on Tuesday morning. --SVD
