Banner reboot announced

The Banner Database server will be rebooted Sunday, February 19, 2006 at 7:30 a.m.. All the databases should be back on-line by 8:00 a.m. Applications that will be affected by this include Banner, Native Banner and self-serve parts of GoWMU. If you have any questions in advance of this event, or if you have any challenges after service is restored, please contact the OIT Help Desk at (269) 387-HELP (387-4357). The Help Desk is open on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon until 10:00 p.m. I f you call while the Help Desk is closed, please leave a message and OIT staff will attempt to resolve the issue. All calls not related to the GoWMU outage will be processed within the normal Help Desk routine

Flow server down

The Flow server which handles the Secure VPN authentication for the SIS firewall went down over the weekend. This would of affected users trying to gain remote access through the VPN. This issue was resolved around 9:35 a.m. this morning with a reboot of the server. --CLM

GoWMU Down

In an effort to rectify the Password login problem in GoWMU it will be down, tomorrow Friday, February 10, 2006, between 5:00a.m. and 6:00a.m. for a system reload. --GF

SBC and MSN browsers

Users are getting time out errors when trying to login to GoWMU using the SBC/Yahoo and MSN browsers. Currently, there is no fix. A work around for this issue is to use Internet Explorer or another supported browser. --KW -EK

GoWMU Password Problem - UPDATE

This morning (2/10/06) the problem with the passwords into GoWMU has been resolved. People should be able to log in normally with no issue. --GF Users of GoWMU who have changed their passwords since the upgrade on 2/4/06 may experience a problem with logging into GoWMU in which they receive an "Access Denied" error. Bruce Paananen has found a way to fix this issue. Please contact the Help Desk at 387-HELP option 1 so that they can put you in contact with Bruce. --EK --CLM
