We offer many choices for students who wish to take one course, pursue additional coursework or return to the University to complete a degree. Read below to discover which option best fits your needs as a domestic, undergraduate student. We also encourage you to consider the many options available through our regional locations and online education, graduate admissions or international admissions.
High school students in the greater Kalamazoo area who have demonstrated the potential for success in college may be eligible to enroll in WMU classes.
Undergraduate students who are currently attending other colleges or universities may apply for guest student status at WMU.
Students who plan not to seek a degree and only wish to take classes may apply for non-degree status.
Any student who already has a bachelor’s degree and wishes to obtain a second is classified as a Second Bachelor’s student.
Any student who already has a bachelor’s degree and wishes to obtain teacher certification.
The SCOPE program offers persons, age 62 or older, the opportunity to register for one class each semester, tuition free.
Returning students and prior applicants and/or students who were admitted within the previous two years but never attended WMU may be eligible for readmission.
