Students who believe they meet the scholarship criteria should apply for admission, request official transcripts (from all institutions attended) be sent to WMU's Office of Admissions, and submit the online scholarship application by the extended deadline of February 1, 2017.
The deadline to submit an application for this scholarship has passed. Applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions at the end of March 2017.
Recipients of these scholarships will be selected by the Transfer Scholarship Selection Committee and notified in the spring semester. Disbursement of all awards begins with the fall 2017 semester. For all Competitive Transfer Scholarships, recipients must be U.S. citizens (or legal residents), with Michigan residency, transferring from a Michigan Community College.
The Student Financial Aid and Scholarships Office is the resource for complete scholarship eligibility and maintenance guidelines as well as additional WMU scholarship opportunities. This information describes transfer scholarships to be awarded for 2017 entry only. Future years' scholarships will be determined annually and are subject to change.
Recipients can be considered for all of the scholarships below, but may receive only one. In the event that a student is selected for multiple scholarships, they will be awarded the one of highest value.
