Many of the AHEC community partners offer health care scholarships for a variety of disciplines. Scholarships are available to attend WMU, for students interested in pharmacy, from the State of Michigan to study in a primary care field such as nursing, along with countless more opportunities. Loan reimbursement programs are available for individuals interested in primary care in Healthcare Provider Shortage Areas through the National Health Service Corps, for Native Americans and Alaskan Indians through the Indian Health Service, and for Registered Nurses that want to work in underserved populations.
