Carly Hagins is an Assistant Professor of Product Design at Western Michigan University's Gwen Frostic School of Art.
Carly is a multidisciplinary designer and educator. She has worked in industries ranging from children's toys to craft breweries, and is especially interested in the intersection of product and graphic design. Carly has been teaching a range of courses at the college level since 2012. As a faculty member at Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA), she established the student design club (the Wentworth Design Collaborative), helped overhaul the first year curriculum, and has advised fifty senior thesis projects. As a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame, Carly was awarded the 2019 IDSA Graduate Student Merit Award for the Midwest District for her work that is focused on undergraduate well-being and behavior change.
