Visiting Artist: Arthur Gonzalez

Ceramic sculptor Arthur Gonzalez received his B.A. in 1977 and M.A. from California State University. He also received his M.F.A. from the University of California in 1981. Gonzalez has participated in numerous artist residencies, including those at the University of Georgia, Louisiana State University, Penland School of Crafts, the University of Akron, and most recently at Tainan National University of the Arts in Taiwan. He has received numerous awards and is a four time recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts grants. Gonzalez has had more than 40 one-person shows, eight of them in NYC, over the last 25 years and currently teaches as a full-time professor at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, Calif.
