Autumn Brown teaches Metalsmithing at Pitt Community College and works with a number of community art initiatives in eastern North Carolina. She is also an independent consultant for casting studio design and construction. Brown is an active studio artist and her jewelry and sculpture has been exhibited nationally.
Autumn will be doing a daylong workshop with Metals/Jewelry students exploring alternative mold-making and metal casting techniques.
Autumn Brown will speak about the rich history of the casting process and show a variety of contemporary small metals artists taking this ancient technique in new directions at 4 p.m. in Richmond Center room 2008.
