QUINTAPATA Panel Discussion: Pascal Meccariello, Raquel Paiewonsky, Jorge Pineda, Belkis Ramirez

Quintapata is an artists’ collaborative group from the Dominican Republic. Rocío Aranda-Alvarado has written “the work of Quintapata represents a questioning not only about the subject of art and its methodologies, but also about the very nature of art itself. The symbolic function of art, its value, its creation, these are all, in the end, the subject of the group’s work.”

In the Monroe-Brown Gallery in fall 2015, Quintapata will be recreating the installation from their Venice Biennale installation as well as new works from the individual artists in the collective.
