Mike Daines received his BFA in Graphic Design from Utah State in 2004. He later received his MFA in Design from Cranbrook in 2009 (#nbd). As far as work goes, Mike’s projects have spanned the design discipline—from publication and print design—to work in motion, interactive, and advertising. He had a good time while working at Imaginary Forces in Hollywood; considering how some of his clients were MTV, Nike, Columbia Pictures, Dreamworks, ABC, NBC, Science Channel, Pepsi, and Comedy Central…”a good time” is quite the understatement. He has also worked extensively in advertising at Kastner and Partners in Los Angeles where the clients included Red Bull, Adidas and Qualcomm. Mike’s other creative endeavors have included work for Billabong, Cranbrook Academy of Art, and Cranbrook Art Museum.

His work has been recognized by the AIGA and UCDA and exhibited widely from New York to Los Angeles. He has previously taught at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, and the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Architecture.
