WMU Presents:

Using Data for Continuous Improvement so That All May Learn

Join us for the 11th Annual Assessment in Action Conference!

We are pleased to present this free, virtual event focused on outcomes assessment and student success.

This conference is designed to provide a venue to share ideas, thoughtful presentations and practical applications. The focus and theme will be on assessing the impact of initiatives and programs using data for continuous improvement, so that all students can be successful both in and outside of the classroom.

For the first time, we are excited to welcome our higher education colleagues from across the state of Michigan to participate. All faculty, staff, graduate teaching assistants and administrators are invited. We look forward to starting to build a collaborative network in our state and beyond to share ideas and to learn from one another. Click on 'Register Now' at the bottom of the page to attend.

What to expect at the conference:

    • Opening panel discussion with special guests Dr. Zebulun Davenport (West Chester University), Dr. Sara Finney (James Madison University), Dr. Ciji Heiser (Western Michigan University, Moderator) and Dr. Vicki Wise (Oregon State University)
    • Nine breakout sessions on various topics around assessment including equity for assessment, data visualization for continuous improvement, using discussion as a tool for assessment, creating authentic assessment tools, and much more
