B.B.A. ORIENTATION

B.B.A. Orientation is required for students during the semester that they are finishing their last pre-business coursework. At this event, students will have the opportunity to hear from the dean or associate dean of the college, faculty members and employers and will also complete paperwork to declare a major in business.

ISM Career fair

Companies from the state, region, and throughout the nation attend this event to recruit and connect with WMU students for co-op, internship, and full-time positions.

LEVERAGING LINKEDIN WITH KELLOGG'S

Participants will hear from Kellogg’s representatives about professional branding through social media. Students will learn how to leverage their social media accounts to best align and communicate their professional image.

MAJOR MATCH-UP

Major Match-Up is an event for all students wishing to explore Haworth College of Business Majors. A student could explore two majors each evening with senior level students who are knowledgeable and engaged. Students will be able to learn what it takes to be successful in the major, what the coursework is like, who the faculty are, which employers come to campus to hire students for internships and/or full time positions in this major, which organizations are aligned with the major, which events are best to attend, and any other questions that you may have. THIS IS A PEER TO PEER EVENT, designed to provide information to first and second year students who are exploring options in order to select a major.

Meet the Firms with Beta Alpha Psi

Meet the Firms Fall 2021 hosted by Beta Alpha Psi will be held virtually on Thursday, September 16 from 5-8pm.  Students will be dressed in business professional attire as they attend one on one and group sessions with you to discover more about your firm, network with your organization's representatives, and inquire about opportunities within your organization. This a great opportunity to practice your interviewing skills before career fair! Sign-up for a 40-minute time slot and obtain expert advice from industry professionals. Students will sign up for a time slot and not for a specific company. We hope to emphasize the interview process and not the company itself. You may sign up for up to TWO time slots.

WIRED is a virtual, experiential learning opportunity offered by the Zhang Career Center for First-Year Students.  This program will help you implement advanced decision-making skills when it is time to choose a major and understand how it connects to related fields.
