Owner, Mangia Mangia Pizza & Pasta Company
Emilio Dacoba, born and raised in Paw Paw, Michigan, is the owner of Mangia Pizza and Pasta Company, Mangia Mangia Ristorante Italiano and D’Forte Incorporated, La Cantina Brands. Additionally, he is the co-owner of La Cantina Ristorante Italiano. Upon graduating from Western Michigan University in 1983 with a B.B.A. in business management and information systems, Dacoba entered the family restaurant business that was founded in 1936 by his grandparents, Amo and Rose Scotese.
Dacoba has worked in all aspects of business, from daily operations including finance, staffing and business development to executive chef. La Cantina Brands was founded in 1984 to produce a line of salad dressings from Dacoba’s grandmother's recipes for distribution to the mass market. Mangia Mangia Ristorante was founded in 2008 in downtown Kalamazoo, soon followed by Mangia Pizza and Pasta Company in 2013, also in Kalamazoo.
