Aimee Jachym is an international corporate transactions attorney at Miller Canfield, Michigan’s oldest law firm. Her diverse global experiences and business background have enabled her to provide clients with practical counsel and solutions to complex problems in the areas of commercial contracting, mergers and acquisitions, and international sales and distribution.
Born in South Korea and adopted by a Detroit family as an infant, Jachym graduated from Western Michigan University in 2004 before returning to South Korea on a Fulbright teaching fellowship. After volunteering at an orphanage and learning Korean, Jachym co-founded Korean Kids and Orphanage Outreach Mission in 2007. The organization has supported 24 of the approximately 250 orphanages and children’s homes in South Korea.
Jachym is a founding board member of Korean Connection, a Grand Rapids non-profit that promotes cross-cultural and business exchange between West Michigan and Korea, and also serves as a committee member of Friends of WMU, a non-partisan political action committee that supports the legislative interests of Western Michigan University.
Jachym has a juris doctorate from Wayne State University and is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Illinois.
