The Zeigler Family
Outstanding Service Award
A staple in the Kalamazoo community for more than 37 years, The Harold Zeigler Automotive Group has shown continuous support to WMU, including generously funding the Harold Zeigler Interactive Sales Lab in the Haworth College of Business.
One of the top sales training facilities in the country, the lab provides one-of-a-kind,
hands-on opportunities for students and “has been instrumental in creating the learning environment that has made the sales and business marketing program at WMU one of the best in the country,” says Dr. Steve Newell, professor of marketing. Opened in 2004, the lab remains an essential part of preparing graduates to start their careers in professional sales and business marketing.
Maintaining their headquarters in Kalamazoo since 1988, the Zeigler family both lives and works in the community and continues to help fuel the local economy through the development of jobs and sponsorship of local fundraisers and charitable events. The business—which includes dealerships from Michigan to New York— employs more than 850 people around the country.
The Harold Zeigler Automotive Group was founded in 1975 and is one of the largest dealer groups in the nation with 41 franchises and 18 dealerships throughout Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and New York. Under the leadership of president and co-owner Aaron Zeigler, the latest opening for the Zeigler group comes on the heels of 50 percent growth over the past four years. Zeigler is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and is an advisor for the Haworth College of Business.
