The Sourcing Sorcerer
Sourcing Program Manager, Stryker

From intern to manager—that’s Ryan Burdette. Burdette’s history with Stryker started when he was still a student at WMU studying both integrated supply management and food and consumer package goods marketing. After completing three internships with the medical device company, Burdette was ultimately hired full-time as a supply chain analyst.

Now, Burdette holds the title of sourcing program manager, managing acquisition integration projects worth upwards of $1.6 billion. Throughout his tenure at Stryker, Burdette has been involved in significant industry-changing product launches, such as the System 7 handpiece and the second generation Mako robotic surgery system. Also active in the Kalamazoo community, Burdette is one of the leaders heading the development of a 14-acre rugby field complex in the city.
