Employer presentation to a class or group
Employers have knowledge and experience to compliment a faculty classroom or registered student organization meeting. Representatives can speak about a variety of career topics to enhance a lecture, session, or event. Presentations are between 15 minutes to one hour in length.
Employer practice interview session
Give students an edge to feel confident and excel in job interviews by having Human Resources representatives guide students about interviewing and answering behavioral interview questions using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) answer framework. Practice interview structure is dependent on the class or meeting and the time allotted to conduct them. Please inquire.
Employer resume review session
Recruiting representatives review hundreds of candidate resumes annually. They have the ability to give constructive suggestions and help a student improve their resume content and appearance using Career and Student Employment Services guidelines. Resume review structure is dependent on the class or meeting size and the time allotted to conduct them. Please inquire.
Job fair preparation tricks and tips session
Having students learn what to do and not to do at jobs fairs directly from employer representatives who attend recruiting events is extremely valuable. Students will learn how to conduct research about employers, prepare and deliver a 30-second personal commercial, types of questions to ask employers, how to close a conversation, and how to follow up after a job fair. Presentations are between 30 minutes to one hour in length.
