Describe your current job:
I manage and coordinate the local marketing campaigns and events in Chicagoland. This includes targeted advertising campaigns, coordinating trade shows and sports partnerships, and maintaining our social media accounts.
What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is getting to see campaigns through from inception to completion, and taking a look at what I actually accomplished. The most challenging part is balancing all of my different responsibilities so everything is done correctly.
What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?
I was President of the American Marketing Association and a competitor for the National Collegiate Sales Competition. These experiences let me network with my fellow students, prospective employers, and supportive faculty members. Dr. Eckert, Dr. Atkin, and Dr. O'Reilly all helped me shape my career by offering me continued guidance.
What advice do you have for students looking for their career after college?
Take some time to really think about your job offers, and make sure you pick one that's a good fit for you. Think about where you want to be in 5 years, and if that company will allow you to get there.
