My family relocated to Kalamazoo in 2010.  I am originally from Columbus, Ohio, where I received my Bachelor’s in Humanities from The Ohio State University. I later received my MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix.  I am passionate about student success. I enjoy hearing about students who have used the positive encouragement and services in our department to overcome challenges, while on their path to graduation. My husband and I currently have three WMU students of our own.  In my spare time I love spending time with family and friends. Going to concerts, plays and other live performances are one of my favorite past times. You will also find we relaxing with a book, historical fiction is my favorite genre.

I am a CEHD alumna with a master's degree from the Educational Leadership: Higher Education Student Affairs program. I completed my bachelor's in communication at Ferris State University, and I love the college life! I think that your college years are some of the most formative, and our team would like to take part in that experience with all of our students. I love advocating for students and seeing them accomplish their goals. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, stories (mostly in the form of movies), etymology, road trips, dance fitness and experimenting with hairstyles.

I have a passion for photography, art, and 3D Design class and discovering new ways of creating abstract art using everyday materials and objects.I spend my time outside as much as possible, day or night. I raise Mason bees in my backyard. Yes, you read that right, I have bees! This was one of his random adventures that I researched and brought to life in order to help pollinate my garden, help the environment, and help the bee population overall.
