WMU’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences inducted 11 graduates into the Alumni Excellence Academy as part of the university’s homecoming festivities in October. Recognition events included a state of the college luncheon, presentation of awards at the Bernhard Center, followed by a reception for distinguished alumni from throughout Western and hosted by President John Dunn.
“Our outstanding alumni are a source of pride for us,” said Dr. Houssam Toutanji, dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. “Being able to honor them is something we look forward to each year.”
He remarked on the caliber of the award recipients and breadth and depth of their contributions to the profession and to their communities. “Each one of these alumni has achieved extraordinary success in their fields and serve as exemplary ambassadors for our college,” Toutanji said.
