What is the American Society of Civil Engineers all about?
We are the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Associated General Contractors (AGC), and Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Student Chapters at Western Michigan University (WMU). The main objective of the ASCE Student Chapter is to encourage its members to study civil and construction engineering and to advance the profession. The student chapter holds bi-weekly meetings at the WMU Engineering College. We participate in Habitat for Humanity, and community outreach programs, host speakers, take field trips, and build the concrete canoe and steel bridge that we compete with every year.
