Dr. Fischenich received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mississippi, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering respectively from Colorado State University. Her graduate work was performed under the direction of Professor Tammy Haut Donahue and centered around knee joint injuries and treatment modalities with a focus on the soft tissue of the knee meniscus and articular cartilage. Having completed her doctoral research, she is now a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Colorado - Boulder where she continues her work in soft tissue biomechanics investigating the development and treatment of pediatric physical injuries and growth abnormalities.
