Dr. Gene Cha

Dr. Cha is an aerospace engineer specialized in structural analyses for space launch vehicle structures. He is currently working for the National Security Space (NSS) projects in The Aerospace Corporation, a nonprofit Federally Funded Research Development Center. Dr. Cha provides the assessment of the structural integrity and survivability of multiple launch vehicles such as Falcon 9, Atlas V, and Delta IV supporting the US Air Force’s spacecraft missions. While working as an aerospace engineer, he taught solid mechanics courses in graduate level in Loyola Marymount University located in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to joining The Aerospace Corporation, he studied mechanical engineering in Texas A&M University and earned M.S. (2010) and Ph.D. (2013) degrees. He received his B.S. from Kyunghee University (2006).
