Society of Women Engineers

What is S.W.E. all about?

At Western Michigan University, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is determined to help improve the skill sets of our members and offer advice, guidance, and the ability for personal growth. As an organization we hold multiple events including resume review nights, industry dinners, and various volunteer opportunities. WMU’s SWE also has the opportunity to attend the national and regional conferences held by the national section of SWE. These conferences offer informational sessions for personal/professional growth, and they each offer a career fair.

Types of Events

Every month we have one professional and one social meeting. The professional development consists of talking about leadership, working on resumes, working on negotiation tactics, etc. Social events include science experiments, icebreaker games, movie nights and other fun, relaxing activities.
