Compliance and Ethics in Skilled Nursing Facilities | Part 2

This two-part training helps skilled nursing facility leaders and staff understand ethics and compliance by describing three steps: 1) Do the right thing, 2) Report, 3) Respond. Participants will learn about CMS requirements for a compliance and ethics program and the role of policies and procedures related to quality of care and other compliance issues. This training addresses state specific laws and regulations pertaining to licensed nursing home and nursing care facilities. 1 Hour CE Credit offered per session for Nursing home administrators

Child Welfare Series 2021 | Going Beyond Self- Care: Working with Trauma

In this course, you will begin to understand how witnessing trauma or experiencing your own trauma will impact you. You will learn the signs of compassion fatigue and burnout for yourself and other workers. You will have an opportunity to explore your own skill set in relation to self- care and will practice at least two activities that can be incorporated into your daily self- care practice. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT)

TF-CBT is an evidence-based trauma treatment for children and adolescents. It is attachment-focused, involving caregivers. This training is intended for master or doctoral level mental health clinicians and meets partial requirements for national certification.  CE's Offered: 12 Social Work

Note---At this time, the training is open to selected WMU School of Social Work students and Field Instructors only, any remaining seats will be open to community members.
