The WMU Department of Economics is hosting a watch party for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ 2024 Women in Economics Symposium to help celebrate the role that women have played in the economy and the economics profession—and that they will play going forward.

Fulbright offers faculty and other professionals unparalleled opportunity to research, teach, or consult in 130+ countries worldwide. Opportunities range from 2 weeks to a full year. Come to the Spring 2024 Fulbright Scholar Workshop from 10-11am and to learn about the types of awards available and what the application process looks like. 

Advising appointments will be available from 11am-12:30pm for those interested in more individualized information.

Research, Innovation, and Creative Scholarship Celebration Week: “Project Belonging” in the Haworth College of Business

As part of a broader initiative to examine dropout rates of Haworth College of Business (HCOB) students, the marketing department faculty conducted a two-phase project to investigate the sense of belonging among HCOB students. Completed in spring 2023, the HCOB survey (phase one) data showed that two subgroups (African Americans/Black and LGBTQ+ students) have a significantly lower sense of belonging than other HCOB students.

Join us for a look at our newest technology space, the Virtual Imaging Technology Lab, during one of our upcoming demo days in Dalton Center room 3006. A unique blend of leading-edge technologies such as video game engines, virtual reality, real-time interactive visuals and virtual production. The room’s most defining feature is its 28’ LED Wall, which is integrated with a 25-camera motion capture system.
