Study Abroad Info Session: Human Rights & Identity in Curaçao, Summer II

Posted by Korey Force for Study Abroad

If the past year of COVID-19 has taught us anything, it's that we live in an inter-connected world in which we need the skills necessary to work together to solve complex problems. Study abroad builds those skills and is still a possibility in Summer I and Summer II 2021!

This Study Abroad Program in Curaçao will travel to the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao to explore the issue of Human Rights in Curacao. The program will be addressing topics such as the role of the Dutch and the Caribbean in the trade in enslaved Blacks, colonial history, Black Identity and the relationship with socio-economic circumstances, the relations with USA to present day human exploitation such as the undocumented Venezoleans.
