Join us in celebration of the legendary Dr. Merze Tate!

Monday, Feb. 6, is Merze Tate Day! Merze Tate College, University Libraries, WMUx Office of Faculty Development and the Department of History invite all members of our community to celebrate the life of WMU’s trailblazing alumna Dr. Merze Tate. This special event will begin at 4 p.m. in the Fetzer Center’s Kirsch Auditorium.

The keynote address, "Merze Tate's Michigan," will be delivered by prominent historian Dr. Barbara Savage, Professor Emerita of Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, who is currently working on an intellectual biography of Dr. Tate.
