Writing to Learn/Writing Across the Curriculum

Participants will explore what writing looks like in the classes they teach as instructors. Topics will include: instructors' assumptions about good and bad writing; principles for the post-secondary teaching of writing; locations of writing instruction on college campuses; and Writing across the Curriculum (WAC) and Writing in the Disciplines (WID) approaches to the teaching of writing. Participants will gain guidance and support in drafting writing assignments and writing to learn activities in their classrooms.
