Student attrition and retention
Every year up to 40 students are admitted in the Pre-Interior Design Program. At the end of the sophomore year, students apply to the Professional Interior Design Program where up to 18 students are accepted.
90% of the students admitted into the Professional Interior Design Program in 2016 have been retained in the program through graduation by 2018.
47% of the students admitted into the Pre-Interior Design Program in 2015 have been retained into the Professional Interior Design Program in 2017.
64% of the students admitted into the Pre-interior Design Program in 2016 have been retained in the overall Interior Design Program through 2018.
Of the students graduating in the 2016/2017 school year, 11 of the 13 students graduated in 4 years and 2 graduated in 5 years.
Of the students graduating in the 2017/2018 school year, 6 of the 8 students graduated in 4 years and 2 graduated in 6 years.
Some students transfer from another program or university and have already completed a year or more which would reflect the extra time to degree. Some students reduce their credit hours in order to work while in school to cover their tuition and expenses.
Acceptance into graduate programs
No students that graduated in 2017 and 2018 have applied for graduate school.
